Gratitude for 2026 Beef Pickup
Our hearts are truly full. As we wrap up another year of our beef program, we’ve been reflecting on this journey. What started as a small passion project to feed our own family and a few dear neighbors has blossomed into something so much more. Year after year, your support has allowed this program to thrive, and seeing our community grow through word-of-mouth and shared meals is the greatest compliment we could receive. Whether you’ve been with us since that first harvest nine years ago or joined the Grounded Grassfed family for the first time this season, we are deeply honored by your trust. Thank you for choosing to fill your freezers with beef that from our local grass-fed beef ranch, grass fed in Sonoma County and regeneratively grazed.
Out on the ranch, the land is currently in its quiet, senescent stage. It’s almost a winter of sorts; most of the plants have paused their growth, tucking their seeds into the soil to wait for the first autumn rains. There’s a beautiful contrast right now—the vibrant green return of the bunchgrasses in the areas where we recently did our control burn (a story we can’t wait to share more of soon!) stands out against the blackened earth. It’s a rugged time of year when the star thistles and rattlesnakes claim the open spaces, and animals find sanctuary in the shade of the oaks and near the watering holes.
After the flurry of our July beef pick-ups, our family took a breath to soak up the final, golden bits of summer and find our sancturay of the watering holes. Your could find our toes in Tomales Bay, swimming in mountain lakes, and watching watermelon juice stain the kids’ swimsuits after long days in the sun. Naturally, there have been plenty of burgers and steaks on the grill! We hope your summer has been just as restorative and that your first tastes of this year’s harvest have brought joy to your table.

Your kind words help new folks find us in this busy digital world, and we truly appreciate the support.
