Successful Beef Pick Up Day 2025

Thank you for a fabulous beef pick up day this year!

ree

Thank you for making this year’s pick up day a hit. It brings us great joy to share what we do with our community, and look everyone in the eye and say thank you. We appreciate the questions you brought and your dedication to good, local food. The day began with welcomed overcast skies as we gathered for the tour. After walking on the ranch and in the fields, we returned to the barn, grabbed blankets and chairs and headed up into the live oak and bay trees for a picnic in the shade. Grounded Grassfed burgers were grilled and enjoyed. Folks trickled back to the barn to load up their beef shares into their coolers and head home.

We enjoyed the texts and emails that arrived over the following weeks as folks began enjoying their shares. “My child will only eat this beef!” and “Seriously, this year’s been might be better than last year’s if that’s possible” as well as a long-form emails detailing inventory organization of their year’s stash, dishes folks are cooking, and gratitude for the beef. Your nerdiness and joy fuels us. This makes it all worth it for us. So thank you for sharing, enjoying, and if you’d like to pop some of your messages into a Yelp/Google review, we’d appreciate it to keep the algorithms current.

I will also say that our children benefited from the pick up day as well. Emma sold out  her eggs, Logan enjoyed overseeing the “guys” loading and sorting the boxes of beef and riding up and down on the lift gate. They got to witness what healthy connection with customers looks like and simply how to care. You all demonstrated to our children that you CARE about where your beef comes from. So much so that you were willing to drive distances (some as far as Reno and LA!), store your beef for a whole year, and dust off your checkbooks (who even uses those anymore!?). You took the time to walk on the land, learn, and ask questions. You make this program possible.

We hope you are enjoying your beef. Our customers from this summer and on the waitlist will be among the first to know when we open deposits for 2026 beef as we sell out every year.

With deep gratitude,

Byron, Alessa and the Grounded Grassfed Team
